The Will of Eleanor Zachary

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Eleanor Zachary of the City of Chester Spinster which I make in manner following that is to say I direct that all my just debts and my funeral and Testamentary expences shall be in the first Place paid I give the Sum of five Pounds to my Sister Ann Capper Widow the Sum of five Pounds to Jane Smith Widow daughter of my Cousin William Zachary the sum of five Pounds to Elizabeth Golborn daughter of William Golborn of Wrexham Butcher the Sum of three Pounds to Mary Jones of Lower Bridge Street in the said City of Chester Widow of Richard Jones Sawyer deceased the Sum of three Pounds to John Williams now living as Servant to John ffinchett Maddock of the same City the Sum of Six Pounds to Thomas Leigh of the City of Chester Maltster my Executor herein after named for the trouble he may have in taking upon himself the burthen and execution of this my said last Will and Testament And I direct that the said several legacies shall be paid within six Calendar Months next after my decease I give my Chest of Drawers to Mrs Lunt Wife of Thomas Lunt of Chester Builder and as to all the residue and remainder of my monies Personal Estate and Effects of every description I give and bequeath the same unto and equally between my Nephew Charles Zachary and my Niece Dorothy Hart Widow as Tenants in Common for their own absolute use and benefit respectively and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Leigh Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I declare and direct that he shall not be charged or chargeable with or accountable for any more monies than he shall actually receive or which shall come to his hands by virtue of this my Will nor with or for any loss which may happen of or to my Personal Estate and Effects or any Part thereof so as such loss shall happen without his wilful neglect or default All such Costs Charges and Expences as he shall pay bear expend or be put unto for or by reason or means of the Executorship thereof or in any wise relating thereto And Lastly I revoke all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the sixth day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty – Eleanor Zachary
