This is the last Will and Testament of me
John Yapp of the Beach Mill in the Parish of Diddlebury in the
County of Salop Cottage holder as follows ffirst I will and
direct all my just debts funeral expences and the expences of
proving this my will to be fully paid and satisfied by my
executor hereafter named and from and after payment thereof I
give and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth Yapp all and singular
my household goods and furniture linen bedding and ready mony or
monies due and owing to me upon Bond Note or otherwise And all
other my Personall Estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever
of which I may be possessed at the time of my decease To hold
the same unto my said wife for and during the time of her life
but subject nevertheless to the following Legacies.....To my
daughter Mary Meyrick sixty pounds To my daughter Sarah Edwards
forty pounds To my son Edward Yapp forty pounds To my son John
Yapp forty pounds To my son William Yapp forty pounds which I
direct to be paid to them respectively within twelve months
after the decease of my said wife And it is my will and I do
hereby direct that my said wife Elizabeth Yapp shall have the
power of disposing by her last Will and Testament of all the
residue of all my said personal property after payment of the
aforesaid several Legacies to and amongst my said five children
share and share alike according to the will of my said wife and
in case of the death of any of my said children leaving issue
then him her or them surviving such issue have and take the
deceased parents share And Lastly I nominate constitute and
appoint my said son William Yapp and my son John Yapp both of
Middlehope Executors of this my will hereby revoking and making
void all will and wills by me at any time heretofore made and
declare this only to be my last Will & Testament In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the first day of
ffebruary one thousand eight hundred and forty eight John Yapp
(Attestation Clause)
