The Will of John Xeres

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Xeres of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn  in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being of Sound Mind and Memory  Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following My Body I commit to the Earth to be Decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named And as concerning such Worldly Estate wherewith God hath been pleased to bless me I Give and Dispose of the same as follows First I Will and Appoint that all my Just Debts and ffuneral  charges be fully Paid and Satisfyed Item I Give and bequeath unto Lancelot Weale of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn  aforesaid in the said County of Middlesex Schoolmaster his Executors and Administrators  ffive hundred pounds Bank Stock Upon Trust that he the said Lancelot Weale his Executors and Administrators Do and Shall Pay and Apply the Annual Dividends Interest and Produce thereof for and towards the Maintenance Education and bringing up of his three Children Esther Weale John Weale and Margaret Victory Weale by his Present Wife Bethia Weale until they shall attain their respective Ages of One and Twenty Years my Will is that  the said Lancelot Weale shall Assign and Transfer two hundred pounds part of the said sum of ffive hundred pounds Bank Stock unto his said Daughter Esther Weale One Hundred and fifty pounds more part thereof unto his said Son John Weale And One hundred and ffifty Pounds residue thereof unto his said Daughter Margaret Victory Weale And in case either or any of the said three Children shall Happen to Dye before he She or they Shall attain that Age then my Will is and I hereby Direct my said Trustee his Executors and Admors  to Assign and Transfer the Share of him her or them so Dying unto the Survivors or Survivors of them the said three Children who shall live to Attain the Age of One and Twenty Years as aforesaid to and for his her or their own Proper use and benefit And in Case the said three Children Shall all happen to Dye before they  they  Shall attain Age of Twenty one Years Then I Give and bequeath the said ffive hundred pounds Bank Stock unto the said Lancelot Weale his Executors and Administrators to and for his and their own proper use and benefit Item as to all the Overplus rest residue and remainder of my Estate Money Goods chattels and Effects of what kind Nature or Quality soever not by me hereinbefore Disposed of I Give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto the said Lancelot Weale his Executors and Administrators to and for his and their own proper use and benefit And I do hereby Nominate constitute and Appoint the said Lancelot Weale Sole Executor hereof and do Publish and Declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my Hand and set my Seal  this Third day of June One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty John Xerex

Administration with Will annexed 18 April 1770 to Betty Weale Widow and Administratrix of Lancelot Weale deceased
