In the name of God Amen I Richard Wright Corporal in H.M. 69^th Regiment and in Captain McMahons’s company being in sound mind and memory but in a weakley state of health do make this my last Will and Testament as follows viz 2ndly I do will and bequeath my Soul to God the Creator and my body to the Earth from whence it came 3rdly I do will and bequeath to William Rowsell Sergt in Captain McMahon’s Company and to John Prozle Corporal in Captain Gunning’s Company of H.M. 69^th regiment all my necessaries pay and arrears of pay clothing and arrears of clothing and all my prize money for the capture of the Isle of France and for the capture of the Isle of Java or any such other demands that may become due to me from the above regiment being in a place where no stamp was to be had Given under my hand at Quilon this 15^th day of March 1813 Richard Wright his X mark Corpl 69^th Regt Witness present R Richardson Asst Surgeon John Chambers Private 69^th Regt A Higgins L Serjt 69^th W Ellis Ensign acting Adjt 69^th Regt Commanding Company This Will approved of by me it appearing correct P Robbins Major Com Dr 69^th Regt Quilon

On 11^th day of November 1818 administration (with the Will annexed) of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of Richard Wright Corporal in his Majestys Sixty ninth Regiment of foot at Quilon in the East Indies deceased was committed and granted to William Rousell (in the Will written Rowsell) the surviving legatee named in the said Will having first been sworn duly to administer There being no Executor appointed in the said Will
