In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Wrenn
of Ware Side in the Parish of Ware in the County of Herts Widow
do hereby revoke all & every Will & Wills by ne at any time
heretofore made & do make & declare this my last Will &
Testament I give & bequeath unto my good friend Simon Scatliff
of Wapping Street in the Parish of Saint George in the County of
Middx Ship Chandler the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of
Great Britain I give & bequeath unto my good ffriend Thomas
Norris of Peter Street Sun Street Bishopsgate Street London
Carver the Sum of Ten Pounds of like lawful Money & as to all &
Singular the rest residue & remainder of my Personal Estate &
Effects of what nature or kind soever & wheresoever I give &
bequeath the same & every part thereof unto the said Simon
Scattliff & Thomas Norris their Exors & Admors upon trust as
soon as conveniently may be after my decease to convert the
whole thereof into Money & after Payment thereout of my Debts &
my ffuneral & Testamentary Expences to lay out & invest the
surplus thereof in the Public or Parliamentary ffunds or upon
Real or other Government Securities & to Accumulate the Interest
thereof until my Son Thomas Wrenn now about Thirteen Years of
age shall attain his age of Twenty one years & upon his
attaining that Age to pay or transfer the whole thereof (Except
the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain which I
hereby give & bequeath unto my Brother Henry Bedells of King’s
Head Court in the County of Middlesex) unto my said Son for his
own use & benefit And in case my said Son shall happen to depart
this life under the Age of Twenty one years then to pay &
transfer the whole thereof unto the said Henry Bedells his
Executors Admors or Assigns And I do hereby Nominate & Appoint
the said Simon Scatcliff & Thomas Norris & their respective
Exors & Admors Executors of this my last Will & Testament And I
hereby declare that it shall & may be lawful for them the said
Simon Scatcliff & Thomas Norris & their respective Exors &
Admors by & out of any Monies or Property which by virtue of
this my will shall come to their or any of their hands to deduct
retain to & reimburse themselves all such reasonable Costs
Charges & Expences as they or any of them shall or may sustain
or be put unto in or about the Execution of the Trusts hereby in
them reposed and that they shall be charged and chargeable only
for such monies & property as they shall respectively actually
receive & each & every of them only for only for & with his own
respective receipts payments acts & wilful defaults & not
otherwise In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Wrenn the
Testatrix have hereunto set my hand & Seal the Twenty fifth day
of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred
& Seven Elizabeth Wrenn
