The Will of Patience Woodford

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Patience Woodford of Hungerton in the County of Leicester Spinster in manner following After payment of all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences which in the first place I direct to be discharged by my Executor herein after named I give devise and bequeath unto my niece Elizabeth Woodford of Keyham in the County of Leicester the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings and I also give and bequeath unto my said niece Elizabeth Woodford the whole of my wearing apparel I give and bequeath unto my nephew Ralph Woodford the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings unto Mrs Mary Ann Barber the Wife of Thomas Barber Esq of Liverpool the sum of ffive pounds And unto Mrs Henrietta Lawson the Wife of John Lawson Lieut in the 71st Highland High Infantry the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings I also give and bequeath unto John Perkins Willmore third son of Wm and ffrancis Willmore of Whetstone in the said County of Leicester sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings And unto ffrances Wilmore Mary Willmore and Ellen Willmore all three daughters of the said Wm and ffrancis Willmore aforesaid the sum of five pounds each And I do direct the whole of the aforesaid several legacys or bequests to be paid and discharged by my Executor herein after named within twelve Calender months after my decease As to the Residue and Remainder of my Property ready monies securities for money and the whole of my Estate and Effects of whatsoever description or wheresoever situate I give and bequeath the same unto my Brother Samuel Woodford of Hungerton in the County of Leicester aforesaid Grazier to his sole use and behoof And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Samuel Woodford sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight     Patience Woodford
