The Will of William Wisdom

 

In the Name of God Amen I William Wisdom of Eartham in the County of Sussex being of Sound mind and memory doe make this my last Will and Testament Imprimis I comitt my Soule to God hopeing to have free pardon of all my sins by the merrits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and as for my Worldly Estate I dispose as followeth
Item I give unto my Wife a Shilling to be paid within a Month after my decease
Item I give to my Son Thomas Wisdom as Shilling to be paid unto him within a month after my Decease
Item I give unto my Son John Wisdom out of that Copyhold which I have surrendered to my Son William Wisdom fiftie pounds to be paid within foure yeare after my Decease

All the rest of my Goods and Chattells and personall Estate I give to my son John Wisdom and I make him Sole Executor of this my Will I doe declare and appoint my Loving Cozen William Croucher of Eastdeane and my Cozen Richard Newland of Slinden to be interest of this my Last Will and Testament Item I give to each of them five Shillings to be paid within a Month after my Decease In Witness Whereof I the said William Wisdom have hereunto sett my hand and seale the Third Day of May in the yeare of our Lord 1706 William Wisdom
