The Will of John Winpenny

 

In the name of God Amen I John Winpenny of the City of Bristoll Vintner being of sound and perfect health mind and memory considering with my selfe the certainety of death and the uncertainety of the time thereof Doe therefore make my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following ffirst and principally I bequeath my Soule to God that gave it and my body to the earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named And as for such worldly estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to blesse me withal I doe dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give to my Daughter Bridgett Roynin ffifty pounds in money to be paid to her within six moneths after my decease Item I give unto my sonn Andrew Winpenny three hundred pounds in money to be paid to him when he shall attaine the age of twenty and one yeares Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Winpenny two hundred pounds in money Item Item I give to my Daughter Ann Winpenny two hundred pounds in money Item I give to my Daughter Mary Winpenny the like sume of two hundred pounds which said three last Legacies given to my said Daughters Elizabeth Ann and Mary my will is shall be paid to them respectively at theire respective ages of twenty and one yeares or day of marriage which shall first happen And in case my sonn Andrew shall happen to dye before he attaine the age of twenty and one yeares or my said three Daughters Elizabeth Ann and Mary or any of them shall happen to dye before she shall attaine the age of twenty and one yeares or be married as aforesaid Then in such case the part and portion of him or her soe dyeing shall come to and be divided amongst the Survivors and survivor of them share and share alike And lastly all the rest and residue of monies plate rings cattles and personall estate whatsoever and wheresoever my debts and legacies being paid and funeral expences discharged I wholly give and bequeath unto my Deare and loving wife Bridgett Winpenny whome I doe make sole and whole Executrix of this my last will and Testament revokeing all former wills by me made In witnesse whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament sett my hand and seale this nine and twentieth day of July in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred ninety nine J.Winpenny Then signed sealed and published in the presence of Wm ffranklin John Sparkes Will: Cox
