The Will of Henry Willshire

 

In the Name of God Amen I Henry Willshire of Backington in the Parish of Tineham in the Isle of Purbeck in the County of Dorset Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect Mind Memory and Understanding Thanks be given unto God for the same Do make this my last Will and Testament First I give devise and bequeath unto Jane my dearly beloved Wife all that my Freehold Tenement situate lying and being at Povington within the said Parish of Tineham called or known by the Name of Newham Tenement for and during her natural Life in lieu of her Dower provided she shall continue a Widow but in Case she shall Marry again then and in such Case I give devise and bequeath the same to my Executor hereinafter named Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the Wife of Henry Sampson of Lutton in the Parish of Steeple in the said Isle of Purbeck the Sum of One Hundred Pounds as and for her Marriage Portion unless I shall pay the same before my decease Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Willshire the Sum of One Hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Grand Daughters Jane Anne & Betty Alner the Sum of Ten Guineas a Piece to be paid to each of them when they arrive at their respective Ages of Twenty one Years Also I give devise and bequeath the Fee simple and Inheritance of all and singular my said Freehold Tenement at Povington aforesaid to my two Sons Thomas Willshire and Henry Willshire equal between them and their Heirs and Assigns for ever Share and Share alike And I also constitute make and appoint my said Thomas Willshire and Henry Willshire joint and sole Executors of this my Will to whom I also give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of all and singular my Lands Monies Goods and Chattels And I do hereby revoke my former Wills ratifying  and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this ffifteenth Day of October in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and eighty Henry Willshire
