The Will of Sarah Williamson

 

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Sarah Williamson of St Ann’s Street Newtown Chester

First I desire that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences shall be paid. Secondly I bequeath to my dear Sister, Ann Hall, the House I am now possessed of situate in St Ann’s Street aforesaid for her own use and benefit during her lifetime likewise I bequeath to my said dear Sister all my household Goods and Furniture .... all my Stock in Trade, and all my personal property whatsoever I may die possessed of for her own use and benefit and not to be under Controul of her husband; but her own receipts shall only be good and valid and at the death of my said Sister, Then I bequeath the House as aforesaid to her daughter Sarah Hall for her own use & benefit and at her Death the House as aforesaid I bequeath to my Nephew Frank Hall for his own use and benefit and at the death of my said Nephew frank Hall then I bequeath the House as aforesaid to his next heir at Law Thirdly should my said Niece Sarah Hall be married at the death of my dear Sister or should she my Neice Sarah Hall marry after my said dear Sister’s death then she my said Neice Sarah Hall shall not claim the House as aforesaid, but the said House as aforesaid I then bequeath to my said Nephew Frank Hall for his own use and benefit and at his decease I then bequeath the said House as aforesaid to his next Heir at Law. Lastly I do hereby declare this to be my Last Will and Testament as Witness my hand and Seal this first day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one Sarah Williamson

Ann Hall Wife of the above bounden William Hall the lawful Sister and sole residuary Legatee named in the last Will and Testament of Sarah Williamson late of Saint Ann Street in the City of Chester Smallware dealer a Spinster deceased and as such Administratrix with the Will annexed of the said Sarah Williamson deceased there being no Executor named or appointed in the said Will

Testatrix died 8 July 1845 Estate below £300
