The Will of William Whyte

 

In the Name of God Amen I William Whyte Private in Captain Carass Company of His Majestys Company 69th Regiment of ffoot being weak in body but of a sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament that is I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be interred in a Christian like manner 2nd I give & bequeath to my beloved Sister Elizabeth Hale all my pay arrears of Pay Cloathing etc also my Prize Money for the Captains of the Isle of ffrance Bourbon and the Island of Java as may be payable or become payable after my decease first paying all my Just debts out of the same In Witness hereof I have Signed my name this twenty fifth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen W. White
