The Will of William Edward Wells
This is the last Will and Testament of me WILLIAM
EDWARD WELLS of 52 Windsor Road, Ealing in the County of Middlesex
Gentleman.
I give devise bequeath and appoint all my estates and effects whatsoever
and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever unto my dear wife MARY
WELLS and my friends EDWARD WHITE THE YOUNGER of Cannon Street in the
city of London Brushmaker and JAMES HAMILTON TOWNEND of 86 Queen Street
Cheapside in the said City of London Gentleman upon trust that the said
trustees or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of
such survivor or other the trustees or trustee for the time being of
this my will shall as soon as conviently may be after my decease sell
call in and convert into money such part or parts thereof as shall not
consist of money and shall out of the money to arise from such said
calling in and conversion and the money of which I shall be possessed at
my death in the first part pay my debts funeral and testamentary
expenses and the primary legacies given by this my will and shall lay
out and invest the residue of the monies aforesaid in their or his names
or name in any parliamentary stocks or public funds of Great Britain or
at interest upon Government or real security in England or Wales.
And I declare that the trustees or trustee for the time being of my will
shall during the natural life of my said wife pay and devise the annual
income of the said trust monies stock funds and securities in or upon
which the same may be invested unto and between my said wife and and my
daughters SARAH MATILDA WELLS, ELIZABETH MARY WELLS and MARIA WELLS in
equal shares and proportions.
And I declare that after the decease of my said wife the said trustees
or trustee for the time being shall stand possessed of the said trust
monies stocks funds and securities and the annual income thereof. The
trust for all such of my aforesaid daughters as shall be living at the
time of the decease of my said wife their heirs executors administrators
and assigns absolutely share and share alike as tenants in common. I
authorize the trustees or trustee for the time being of my will to
convert any part of my personal estate on the security on which it may
be invested at my death. I give to each of them the said EDWARD WHITE
and JAMES HAMILTON TOWNEND the sum of nineteen pounds nineteen
shillings. And I appoint my said wife and the said EDWARD WHITE and
JAMES HAMILTON TOWNEND Executors of this my will. And lastly I revoke
all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to
be my last and only Will and Testament in witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of September one thousand eight
hundred and seventy one.------W.E.WELLS-----signed and declared by the
said WILLIAM EDWARD WELLS the testator as and for his last will and
testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and
in the presence of each other all being present at the same time have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

PROVED at London 3rd April, 1872 by the oaths of Mary Wells Widow the
Relict Edward White the younger and James Townend the Executors to whom
administration was granted.
