The Will of Martha Wayman

 

In the Name of God Amen I Martha Wayman of the Parish of Goring in the County of Oxford being of sound mind memory and understanding Praised be God for the same do make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I will that my body be buried in a decent and becoming manner and that all my just debts at the time of my decease and my funeral expences be paid soon as possible after my decease out of such money as I may then happen to have deposited in the Savings Bank or under Government Security and before such money be divided as hereinafter mentioned I bequeath unto all my Brothers and sisters living after my decease and also unto the Widow Shurvill wife of John Shurvill or to their surviving Children of such of my Brothers and sisters who may happen to die previous to myself all such money as I then happen to have deposited in the Savings Bank remaining ... after my just debts and funeral expences being paid as before mentioned then for the remaining money be the same more or less to be equally divided amongst my said Brothers and sisters and the said Widow Shurvill share and share alike and if any of my Brothers and sisters happen to die that for their such share of money to be equally divided among his or her surviving children and so in the like manner as it respects the Widow Shurvill if she die previous to that of myself than her share of money equally divided among her children and I appoint William Shurvill and William Spires Exors of this my last Will and that the said William Shurvill and William Spires I direct be paid the sum of two pounds each as soon as convenient after my decease out of the aforesaid money in the Savings Bank for their trouble I Will that my bedstead cupboard .... and shelves do continue in and be left in the house as fixtures to the same I give unto Martha Spires Wife of William Spires my bed bolster pillows sheets Blankets and also my best black silk gown and my best Shawl as to the Rest of my household goods etc. I leave to be at the disposal of my Brothers & sisters to do with them as they choose and hereby revoking all former Wills I declare this to be my last & only Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two _ Martha Wayman
