In the Name of God Amen I George Walter Grocer of the Town and Parish of Maidstone in the County of Kent knowing it is appointed for all Men to dye and the time when it shall please God to call me I know not Being now in good health and sound Memory blessed be God for it Do this sixteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred fifty one make and order this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following ffirst I recommend my soul to God in and through Jesus Christ my only Lord and Saviour and my Body to the Ground from whence it was taken to be buried where and after what manner my Executrix hereafter named shall think proper And as for that Portion of Worldly Goods which the Lord of his infinite Goodness hath been pleased to intrust me with I will they be disposed of in the manner following ffirst I give unto my two Brothers John and Thomas Walter all my Woollen Wearing Apparel as Coats Wastcoats Breeches Hatts Stockings and Shoes to be equally divided between them I will be given to my two Sisters Susanna Gleed and Ann Davis to each of them one Crown Piece of lawfull Money of Great Britain Then I will be given unto my Nephew Walter Gleed my two pair of Silver Buckles All which I will be severally given to them within six Months after my decease Then all the rest of my Goods and Chattels and Wearing Apparel my Debts Legacies and ffuneral Expences being paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto my Dear and loving Wife Mary Walter whom I make Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written George Walter Sealed and Delivered in the presence of G Walter, Judith Seymour, Sibbela Borman
