The Will of Daniel Walford

The last Will and Testament of me Daniel Walford Baker of Hook Norton in the County of Oxford I give and devise to my Brother Samuel Walford and to my Son John Walford Baker both of Banbury in the County of Oxford and to their heirs upon trust as follows that is to say my House Garden Close and all the outbuildings thereto belonging now in my own occupation situate in Hook Norton aforesaid in the County of Oxford that they the aforesaid trustees shall allow my Wife Sarah Walford to live therein or that she my Wife shall receive the Rents thereof during her life and that after her decease upon trust to convey each and all of the before mentioned property to my Son Daniel Walford and his heirs chargeable nevertheless with the payment of the sum of two hundred pounds of good and lawful money unto my Son Samuel Walford upon the decease of my Wife Sarah Walford I also give and devise to my aforesaid trustees upon trust all and every of my Household Goods ffurniture plate Linen and China to permit and allow my Wife Sarah Walford to use aforesaid Household Goods ffurniture Plate Linen and China during the term of her life and then after her decease to divide the same share and share alike between my Sons Daniel and Samuel Walford Moreover I give and devise to my aforesaid trustees upon trust all and every of my Book debts business Stock in trade to carry on the same for the benefit of my Wife during her life but should the business prove such in the opinion of the trustees as not to be beneficial to my Wife then they the aforesaid trustees shall dispose of the same and they the trustees shall pay or cause to be paid to my Wife Sarah Walford the produce remaining on hand at the time of leaving off the same fuel Beer and Spirits I give and devise to my Wife for her own use I also give and devise to my aforesaid trustees and to their heirs upon trust the three Closes orinclosed Grounds called Calves Close Beggars Head and Pennel Moor to sell and thereout pay the following Legacies to the herein mentioned Legatees that is to say to my Son David Walford the sum of twenty pounds to my son James Walford the sum of twenty pounds to my Son Daniel Walford the sum of one hundred pounds to my aforesaid trustees the sum of one hundred pounds to aid them my trustees in carrying on my business for the benefit of my Wife Sarah Walford so long as they consider it can be done for the advantage of my Wife but should it appear otherwise to them then they my aforesaid trustees shall put the same or such part or parts as shall not have been applied for the purpose aforesaid to Interest and pay the same to my Wife for life and then after her decease in trust for my son Samuel Walford I also give and devise to my daughter Sarah Scrivener the sum of one hundred pounds to my daughter Mary Batch the sum of fifty pounds the Houses late my Mothers I leave to descend to my heir at Law which with what I have already done for him I hope he will accept as a full share of my Property trustees Receipts shall be a proper and full indemnity to the purchaser or purchasers of my Real Estates who shall not be answerable or accountable for the application or non application thereof of the purchase money moreover it is also my Will that my trustees together with my Wife be my Executors but my Wife shall have the sole management of my ffuneral the expenses of which shall be paid by my Executors to each of my trustees I do give and devise the sum of five pounds as a remuneration for their trouble and attention I do also desire that any debt or incumbrance or incumbrances which may be upon my property at the time of my decease by my aforesaid trustees and the monies arising from the sale of my real Estate
