In the name of God Amen I George Vye of the Burrough of Corff Castell within the Isle of Purbeck in the County of Dorsett Taylor beinge of perfect and sound memory (thanks be given to god therefore) though weake in body Doe make this my last will and Testament in writeing in manner and forme followinge Imprimis I commit my Soule into the hands of Allmighty god my Creator trustinge to be saved only by the merits of Jesus Christ my redeemer And my body to the earth from whence it came Item: I give and bequeath unto Sarah Vye my Sister all my goods Chattels household Stuffe and implemts of household whatsoever Item I give devise and bequeath unto my lovinge kinsman Edward Vye of Arne within the Said Isle of Purbeck and to his heires my dwellinge house and all my lands within the said Burrough of Corffe Castell or elsewhere To have and to hold the said dwellinge house and lands unto my said kinsman Edward Vye his heires and assignes forever upon this condition nevertheless that my said kinsman doe and shall satisfie and pay all my debts and disburse and discharge my funeral expences And I doe hereby further declare my will to be that my said Sister Sarah Vye even and after my debts shalbe Satisfied and Paid out of my said dwellinge house and land shall then hold and enjoy my now dwelling house and garden in Corffe aforesaid (rent free) dureinge her naturall life And I doe nominate and ordaine my said kinsman Edward Vye to be the sole executor of this my last will and Testament In witnes whereof I the said George Vye have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the ffifteenth day of August In the yeare of our Lord according to the English accompt one thousand six hundred fifty and six George Vye Published and declared by the said George Vye to be his last will and Testament in the presence of William Okedon Anne Okedon
