I Jane Upton Widow of the late William
Upton Grocer of Kent Street in the Parish of St George’s in the
Borough of Southwark Surrey being of sound mind and memory do
hereby make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
following that is to say It is my Will and I do hereby desire
that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be paid
as soon after my decease as it may be possible to do And I do
hereby bequeath All my personal Property Effects monies owing to
me and all property whatsoever and wheresoever of every kind and
description which may belong to me or to which I may be entitled
at the time of my decease unto Mr William Lowe Tailor of No 2
White Lion Cour Corn hill London Mr John Lowe of Acton Middlesex
and Miss Rebecca Upton of No 65 Great Suffolk Street Borough
Southwark In trust for the purposes hereinafter stated And I do
hereby appoint the aforesaid William Lowe John Lowe and Rebecca
Upton to be joint Executors and Executrix to this my Will with
power to reimburse themselves from any Property of mine for all
necessary expences they may be put to in the discharge of my
duties as such ffirst it is my Will and I do hereby bequeath
unto my eldest Daughter Jane Southerden Wife of Mr John Ellison
Southerden of No 135 Strand London Hosier the whole of my
wearing Apparel also the residue if any of one hundred pounds
Stock three Per Cent Consols now standing in my name in the
Books of the Bank of England after all my just debts owing &
expences incurred at and by my decease are paid therefrom for
her own sole use and advantage Lastly it is my Will and I do
hereby bequeath the whole of the Remainder of Property of every
description I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of
my decease unto my Youngest Daughter Rebecca Upton my aforesaid
Executrix for her sole use and advantage In Witness whereof to
this my last Will I have set my hand and seal this twenty first
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
