The Will of Priscilla Unthank

 

In the Name of God Amen I Priscilla Unthank of the Parish of Saint Margarets Westminster in the County of Middlesex Widow being in a bad State of health but of Sound and Disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (thanks be to Almighty God for the same) Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)I Give Devise and bequeath unto my Dear and beloved Daughter Ann Payne of the Parish of Saint John the Evangelist Westminster (Widow and Relict of Tobias Payne late of the same place Baker deceased)All my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever of what Nature or Kind soever the same may be To hold the same from and Immediately after my decease unto my said Daughter Ann Payne her Executors Admors and Assigns And I do hereby Constitute and Appoint my said Daughter Ann Payne the Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made and do Declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this tenth day of January in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty five the Mark of Priscilla Unthank

Notwithstanding any Bequest Matter or thing contained in this my Will I Give Devise  and bequeath unto my Dear and beloved Daughter Ann Payne and unto my Dear and beloved Daughter ffrances Barrow (Wife of William Barrow Junr of the Parish of Saint Margaret Westminster Cow Keeper) All my Wearing Apparel and Linnen whatsoever and also all my Plate and China to be equally Divided between them Share and Share alike As Witness my hand this tenth day of January 1765 the Mark of Priscilla Unthank Witness: Wm Clement Saml Day Clerks to Mr J Anson

 

 

Proved at London with a Codicil 10 May 1769 by the Oath of Ann Clark formerly Payne Wife of Nicholas Clark
