In the Name of God Amen I John Peach Udall
of the Parish of Chideock in the County of Dorset Butcher being
of sound and disposeing Mind Memory and Understanding thanks be
given unto God therefore calling unto Mind the Mortality of the
Body knowing that it is appointed for all Flesh once to die Do
this Twenty- second day of April in the Year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty-seven make and publish this my
last Will and Testament in Manner and form following (that is to
say)I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Floyer James Udall the sum
of two Hundred Pounds of Lawful Money of Great Britain I Give
and Bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Wife of Daniel Murphy
the East part of my House now occupied by Daniel Larcombe
I Give and Bequeath unto my Son James
Peach Udall the sum of two Hundred and fifteen Pounds of Lawful
Money I Give and Bequeath unto my Son William Budden Udall the
sum of two Hundred and fifteen Pounds of Lawful Money I Give and
Bequeath unto my Daughter Charlotte the sum of One Hundred and
Fifty Pounds of lawful Money I Give and Bequeath unto my Son
Charles Udall the sum of One Hundred and twenty Pounds of lawful
Money
I Give and Bequeath to Sarah my Wife the
Rent of three Tenements and the Interest of the above Monies for
her Life and then to the Executor of this my Will for the
Benefit of Charlotte and William Budden Udall untill the said Wm
Budden Udall is of the age of Eighteen Years and then to be
Devided as above stated. Now my Will is that if my daughter
Catherine Wife of Daniel Murphy should die Childless the
Tenement which I have given her on the other side shall be for
the rest of my Children
