The Will of Gaius Udall

 

In the Name of God Amen I Gaius Udall of Symondsbury in the County of Dorset Butcher being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding Do this fifth day of July one thousand eight hundred and fifteen make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Wife Ann Udall All that my Freehold Messuage Tenement or Dwellinghouse Garden Orchard and Hereditaments that I now lives in and occupy And also all my Goods and Personal Effects and for she my said Wife to hold use occupy and possess the same for and during the Term of her natural Life and from and immediately after her decease then I Give devise and bequeath my Freehold Messuages Tenement or Dwellinghouse Garden Orchard and Hereditaments unto my Son William Udall and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever for Ever Also I Give and Bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Udall immediately after the decease of my Wife Ann Udall my Feather Bed Bedstead and Beding And Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Sons John Udall and William Udall and to my Daughters Susanna Udall Mary Udall and Elizabeth Udall the sum of one hundred pounds, that was given to me in and by the Will of my late Uncle Gaius Udall after the death of my Aunt Mary Udall and the same to be equally divided between them share and share alike and likewise share and share alike of all the Household Goods given me in and by the said Wife of my said Uncle But in Case my said Aunt shall happen to die before my said Wife then my Will is that she my said Wife shall receive the Interest of during the Term of her natural life But in case either of my said Sons or Daughters shall happen to die unmarried then my Will is that the part or share of him or her so dying unmarried shall be paid to my Wife Ann Udall And I hereby make Constitute and appoint my said Wife Ann Udall whole and sole Executrix of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and Year above written   Gaius Udall
