The Will of William Turton
In the name of God Amen I William Turton of
Birmingham in the County of Warwick Haberdasher of Hatts being of sound
and perfect minde memory and understanding, praise be given to Almighty
God for the same, And calling to minde the Uncertainty of this life, Doe
for the settling and disposing of my Estate the which it hath pleased
God to bestowe upon me make this my Last Will and Testament in manner
following To witt, ffirst I will that all my Just debts and funerall
expence and the charges of proving this my Will be fully paid and
discharged Also I give and bequeath unto my Kinsman William Turton
Samuel Turton late of Birmingham aforesaid …..Cutter the sume of Twenty
pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my
Executrix hereinafter named att his age of ffour and Twenty yeares And
also all the rest and residue of my Estate goods and Chattells
whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my Loveing wife
Sarah Turton whom I make and appoint sole Executrix of this my Will And
hereby revoaking and makeing voyd all former and other Wills by me made
I Doe Declare this to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I
have to this my Last Will and Testament putt my hand and seale this
seventeenth day of March In the yeare of our Lord One thousand seven
hundred and thirty seven
