The Will of Edmund Travis

 

17 March 1800 This is the last will of me Edmund Travis of Bibknowl in Butterworth
I give unto my wife Esther the use of all or such parts of my Household Goods Cattle farming stock and implements as she may have occasion for during her life And all the residue of my Estate and Effects I give unto my two sons Thomas and Edmund Upon Trust that they call in all outstanding Effects and secure the same att interest and the Interest therefrom shall be applied for the sole benefit of my wife during her Life and after her death I direct that my Trustees do sell all the Household Goods and other property as also all monies out at Interest shall call in.
I give unto my daughter Jane 10 pounds to become due after the decease of the survivor of me and my said wife to my grandchildren James Betty Benjamin Jane and Mary ( the children of my late son John deceased) 25 pounds amongst them the residue of my Estate I give to my sons Thomas and Edmund
Executors my said two sons Thomas and Edmund
