This is the last Will and Testament of me William Townsend of Bampton in the County of Oxford Yeoman I give devise and bequeath direct limit and appoint to my wife Ann All and every my real estate and estates messuages lands tenements and hereditaments and parts and shares of .. messuages lands tenements and hereditaments freehold copyhold or leasehold and chattels real and all other my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold to her my said wife her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely during all my estate and interest therein And I give to my said wife All my personal estate household goods monies and securities for money goods chattels and effects whatsoever  And I appoint her executrix of this my Will  Witness my hand and seal this twelfth day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty      X the mark of William Townsend   Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the testator William Townsend as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his and each others presence have subscribed our names as witnesses   Thomas Burrow     James Ward   James Clark

This Will was proved at Oxford on the 15th day of April in the year of our Lord 1826 Before the Reverend Thomas Burrow Clerk M.A.  Surrogate of the Reverend George Turner Clerk M.A  Official principal of the Reverend the Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Oxford lawfully constituted by the Oath of Ann Townsend Widow the Relict and Sole Executrix therein named to whom Admon was granted being first sworn duly to administer
