Memorandum made by me John Toop Yeoman now
in the occupation of Lime Kiln ffarm in the Parish of Sherborne
in the County of Dorset A tenant of and under the 38th Earl
Digbie feeling unwell quite infirm in my bodilie health and
viewing the uncertainty of this life and also to prevent any
dispute which sudden death may cause in respect to my personal
property which may be found in my possession I do by these
disannul any claim to be made by any person or persons but those
who was born of my Mother namely My brother Thomas Toop my
brother George Toop living Also the children of my deceased
Sister Sarah Hunt also the children of my deceased Sister Ruth
Oram also the children of my deceased sister Mary Syms those
whom I have named I do herebie acknowledge to be next in kindred
to me Now then in the event of Sudden death to me I request to
be buried as near as possible to my dear and affectionate Wife
Sarah Toop in the Parish Church Yard of Trent in the County of
Somerset Also it is my request to be buried as near as possible
in the same manner Now in the Event as aforesaid & my
circumstance is no otherwise made out then in that case I
request that all my just debts & funeral expences be paid Also I
request that in lieu of fifty pounds which was placed in my hand
at Interest by my Nephew’s Wife Maria Toop she is to have ten of
my best Milch Cows in discharge for the same Also I request
that Susan Rendal a child of my Sisters daughter be considered
for her service to me & paid out of my Effects & lastly should
it so happen no other written paper be found to contradict this
then I request this might be considered as my last Will &
testament there will be found five claimant acknowledged by me
