The Will of Samuel Tizard

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Samuel Tizard of Melbury Sampford in the County of Dorset Farmer made and Published this sixth day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Nine First I will that all my just Debts be paid and with the payment thereof I charge all my Estate whatsoever which being done I Give to my Son John Tizard and to my Daughter Frances Meech the Sum of Five Pounds each to be paid within twelve months after my decease by my Executrix herein after named Also I Give to my Son Samuel Tizard my Clock and case and my Feather Bed with all its furniture All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate I Give devise and bequeath unto my Wellbeloved Wife Martha Tizard for and during the term of her life She continuing a Widow and not otherwise And my Will and Desire is That immediately after my decease An Inventory be taken and an Appraisement made of All my Indoor and Outdoor Goods Stock Chattels and Cattle of All sorts together with Implements of Husbandry of what nature or kind soever But if my said Wife shou’d happen to marry then and in such case I Give the same to John Talbot of Woolcombe Matravers in the said County and Anthony Notleyof East Chelborough in the said County Farmers and the Survivor of them In Trust that as soon as conveniently may be They cause an equal distribution of all and singular my said Goods Chattels and Estate to be made between my two Sons by my now Wife Samuel Tizard and James Tizard unto whom I do hereby give the same share and share alike in the most equal manner that may be And Lastly I make ordain constitute and appoint my said Wife Martha Tizard sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoaking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this to be my last Will and Testament in the presence of the Persons who at my request and in my presence have subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto the Day and Year above written
