The Will of John Thomas
In the name of God Amen. I John Thomas of Tybrith in that part of the Parish of Llanrhaiadr in Mochnant in the County of Denbigh, Yeoman, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, Do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give and devise unto my Son Edward Thomas of Tybrith aforesaid Farmer All my Freehold Messuage, Lands, Tenements, Heraditaments and Premises with the appurtenances whereof am seized of in fee, situate lying and being at blaen Hirnant in the parish of Hirnant in the county of Montgomery, and now in the holding of William Owen or his undertenants, To have and to hold the said Lands, Tenements and Heraditaments with the Appurtenances situate as aforesaid to him the said Edward Thomas his heirs and assigns for ever. I also give and bequeath unto my Daughter Margaret wife of William Humphreys the Sum of Ten Pounds, also I give unto my Daughter Ann wife of Edward Lloyd the Sum of Twenty Pounds, also I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth wife of William Owen the Sum of Twenty Pounds. All the rest Residue and remainder of my Real and Personal Estate I give and bequeath unto my said Son subject nevertheless to the payment of the above said legacies to my said Daughters respectively and also subject to the payments of my just debts, Funeral expenses and Testamentary charges and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son Edward Thomas Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all and every other will and Wills at any time heretofore by me made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness thereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord Christ 1804. The mark + of John Thomas the Testator.
Signed sealed published and declared by the above named John Thomas and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence have subscribed out names as witnesses thereto, and in the presence of each other
