The Will of Michael Tarrant

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Michael Tarrant of Stratford in the Parish of West Ham in the County of Essex Tailor made this eighth day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty five In the first place I revoke all former and other Testamentary dispositions by me at any time made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament and I do hereby direct that all my ffuneral expences and the charges of proving executing and registering this my will and all my just debts shall be paid and satisfied by my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named out of my personal Estate and Effects and after payment thereof I give and bequeath unto my Wife Ann and to my son Richard Tarrant the full free and absolute benefits interests proceeds and profits arising or to arise of or from my Trade or Business as a Tailor as aforesaid together with all the Stock ffixtures and Implements in Trade which is now or at my decease shall be on hand and also all and every the Book Debts monies or accounts now due or which may be due and owing to me at the time of my decease to hold the same unto my said Wife Ann and my said Son Richard Tarrant and each of them share and share alike with the benefit of survivorship to either the one or the other of them I also give and bequeath unto my said Wife Ann all my household ffurniture plate Linen and China for and during the term of his natural life and from and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to my said Son Richard Tarrant for his own use and benefit absolutely and I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Ann Executrix and my said Son Richard Tarrant Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I hereby declare that they my said Executrix and Executor shall not be charged or chargeable with or accountable for any Sum or Sums of money than they respectively shall actually receive and that they shall respectively shall not be answerable for each other but each of them only for his own acts receipts neglect or default and that they respectively shall not be answerable for any misapplication loss failure or damage that may happen of and to the said Estate Effects and Premises above mentioned or any part thereof unless the same shall happen by his her or their respective wilful neglect or default In Witness whereof I the said Michael Tarrant have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Michael Tarrant
