This is the Last Will
and Testament of me
Joseph Swan of Caple in
the County of Surry
Yeoman ffirst I do
hereby direct that all
my just Debts ffuneral
Expences and the Charges
of the Probate of this
my Will may be fully
paid and satisfied as
soon as conveniently may
be after my decease by
my Executors hereinafter
named I give and
bequeath unto my
Daughter Sarah now the
Wife of John Wood of
Newdigate in the County
of Surry Carpenter the
Sum of One hundred
pounds of lawful Money
of Great Britain to be
Paid to her my said
Daughter Sarah within
twelve Months next after
my decease and as for
All and Singular the
Rest Residue and
Remainder of my Estate
as Well my Real estate
as my Personal Estate
Goods Chattels Rights
Credits Monies and
Securities for Money of
what nature or kind
soever and wheresoever I
give devise and bequeath
the same and every Part
thereof unto my two Sons
Joseph and Robert Swan
their Heirs Executors
Administrators and
Assigns for ever to take
as Tenants in Common and
not as Joint Tenants to
be equally divided
between them share and
share alike and I do
hereby nominate
constitute and Appoint
my said two Sons Joseph
Swan and Robert Swan
Executors of this my
last Will and Testament
hereby revoking and
making Void all former
and other Will and Wills
by me at any time
heretofore made and do
declare this Alone to be
my last Will and
Testament In Witness
whereof I the said
Joseph Swan the Testator
have to this my last
Will and Testament set
my Hand and Seal this
seventh Day of June in
the Year of Our Lord one
