This is the last Will and Testament of me
Jonas Sturt of Croydon in the County of Surry Blacksmith I give
to Ann my Wife and equal half part of the household goods and
furniture which are now in the house wherein I live (the
selection of the Articles comprising that half to be made as
soon as conveniently may be after my decease under the direction
of George ffletcher of Croydon aforesaid Surgeon hereinafter
named one of my Executors) I give devise and bequeath all my
messuages cottages or tenements lands hereditaments and real
Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and the other half part of my
said household goods and furniture and also all my monies goods
chattels personal estate and effects whatsoever unto my Son
Jonas Sturt his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
according to the nature and quality of the said Estate & Effects
respectively but subject to And I hereby charge the same with
the payment of my just debts and my funeral expenses & also with
the Payment of the Annuity or yearly sum of fifty pounds to be
paid to my said Wife at the time of my decease during her life
by equal quarterly payments and also subject (at the option of
my said Wife) to either the payment to her during her life in
manner aforesaid of the further Annuity or yearly amount of five
pounds or the use rent free (during her life) of one of my
Cottages of the value of five pounds a year And I declare that
my said Wife shall have all the powers of enforcing the payment
of the said Annuities or yearly sums or either of them
whichlandlords have by law for enforcing payment of rents I
appoint my said Wife and Son and the above named George
ffletcher Executors of this my Will and I hereby declare that my
said Executors or their Exors or Admors shall not be answerable
for any more monies than shall come to their hands respectively
nor for involuntary losses and that they may reimburse
themselves all expences incurred in the execution of this my
Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this sixteenth day of October One thousand Eight hundred and
