This is the last will and
testament Mary Strudwick of Stoke next
Guildford Surrey widow made this 29th
day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty four Ffirst I direct all my just debts to be paid by
and out of my personal estate I give to my sister Elizabeth
Beagley of Hollybourn Hants widow all my wearing apparel
Also I give and bequeath to Richard Stilwell of Stoke
aforesaid gentleman and James Smith of Worplesdon Surrey
a Lieutenant in his Majesty's Navy their executors and
administrators the sum of three hundred pounds sterling in trust
to pay the interest thereof to my said sister Elizabeth
Beagley for her life so as she may not sell or anticipate
the same and after her decease in trust to divide the principal
between the children of my said sister Elizabeth Beagley
their executors adminors and assigns equally as tenants in
common Also I give to my nephew George Stevens the sum of
twenty pounds sterling Also I give to Henry Beagley the
natural son of my said sister Elizabeth Beagley’s daughter
Sarah the sum of twenty pounds sterling Also I give unto my
servant Mary Ballham the legacy or sum of ten pounds
sterling Also I give the residue of my estate and effects unto
the children of Thomas Rothwell now or late Mowhill in the
parish Witley Surrey equally as tenants in common And I
appoint the said Richard Stillwell and James Smith
Executors of this my last will In witness whereof I have to this
my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year
first above written - The mark and seal of the above named x
Mary Strudwick - signed sealed published and declared by the
said Testatrix Mary Strudwick the testatrix as and for
her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her
presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto
subscribed our names as witnesses Geo Potter Guildford Jane
Ogbourn of Guildford
Proved in London on the
sixth of October 1834 before the judge by the oaths of
Richard Stillwell and James Smith the Executors to whom
admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
