In the Name of God Amen I John Stone of Coate in the parish of Bampton in the County of Oxford Yeoman being weak of Body but of perfect understanding thanks be unto God for it and now I give and bequeath to Jane my dearly beloved wife all my Lands Messuage and Tenement Household ffurniture chattels corn cattle implements of husbandry and all that I am possessed with I give to Jane my dearly beloved wife freely by her to be possessed and enjoyed  And to be at her disposing after her decease satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament.  In witness whereof I have unto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four                                                         John Stone  Signed sealed  published pronounced and declared by the said John Stone as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names      John Waite   John Harris  John Bartlett     On the twenty ninth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six Letters of Administration with this Will annexed of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the above named John Stone deceased were granted to Robert Stone the son and administrator of the goods of Jane Stone widow deceased whilst living the universal legatee named in the said will he being first sworn duly to administer, the said Jane Stone surviving but dying without proving the said will and no executor being therein named.
