THIS IS THE LAST WILL
AND TESTAMENT
of me Richard Stocker of Guys Hospital in
the Borough of Southwark Apothecary and give
and bequeath all my household furniture
household and other ? china plates watches
jewels trinkets and ornaments books pictures
wines spirtuous ? goods and chattels of
every description which I may be possesed of
at the time of my decease unto my six
children JAMES STOCKER, WILLIAM HENRY
BROWELL STOCKER, ELIZABETH the wife of
Captain ? STOCKER, MARTHA ANN STOCKER,
ISABELLA ? STOCKER and ELLEN CAROLINE
STOCKER to be equally divided between them
by my Executors in Oath in a manner as they
in their discretion shall ? fit with full
power to sell the same or any part hereof
and to divide the proceeds and as to and ?
all the funds monies in my Banker’s hands
ready monies and securities for money and
all other my personal estate and effects
whatsoever I give and bequeath the same unto
such of my five children JAMES STOCKER,
WILLIAM HENRY BROWELL STOCKER, MARTHA ANN
STOCKER, ISABELLA AVARILLA STOCKER and ELLEN
CAROLINE STOCKER as shall be living at the
time of my demise and the issue of such of
them as shall have departed this life
leaving issues then living (such issues
taking per stipes and per capita) to be
equally divided between such children and
issues as tenants in common and their
serveral respective Executors administrators
and provided always and my will is that ?
any of my Daughters or other female issues
taking any part or share of my property
under this my Will shall at the time when
such part or share may become payable happen
to be under ? such part or share shall not
be paid to such Daughter female issue but
shall be retained by my Executors and shall
be held by them in trust for the separate
use of such Daughter or female issue so and
in such manner as that the same may not be
subject to the debts or control of her
husband and my will is that every such
daughter or female issue shall have full
power notwithstanding her ? to ? the
settlement of disposition of such her part
or share as well principal as interest in
the same manner as if she were sole and
unmarried and in default of and until any
such settlement or disposition shall be made
the ? and interest thereof shall be paid
unto her own hand for her sole use and for
which her receipt shall at all times be a
sufficient discharge and lastly I nominate
and appoint my sons JAMES STOCKER and
WILLIAM HENRY BROWELL STOCKER Executors of
this my Will and revoking all former Wills
by me at any time heretofore made I declare
this to be my last and only subsisting Will
and Testament in witness whereof I the said
Richard Stocker have to this my last Will
and Testament contained in this and the
preceding sheet of paper set my hand and
seal this eleventh day of March one thousand
eight hundred and thirty three – Richard

by the said testator Richard Stocker as and
for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who in his presence at his
request and in the presence of each other
have hereto subscribed our names as

THIS IS A CODICIL to the Will of me Richard
Stocker of Guys Hospital in the Borough of
Southwark Apothecary and which I ? to be
annexed hereto and to be taken as part
thereof whereas my son the Reverand CHARLES
WILLIAM STOCKER is indebted to me in the sum
of five hundred pounds or thereabouts and my
son RICHARD STOCKER is likewise indebted to
me in the sum of three hundred pounds for
money advances and lent by me to my said
sons respectively now I do hereby will that
my Executors in my said Will named shall not
immediately upon my decease call upon my
said sons to repay the said sums of five
hundred pounds and three hundred pounds so
advanced by me to them as aforesaid but that
they my said sons shall have such time to
pay the said sums after my decease as they
may occasional require and by such
instalments as my said sons shall think fit
provided that no less a sum than fifty
pounds in any one payment shall be accepted
or taken by my said Executors from either of
my said sons in respect of the said sums so
? from them to me as aforesaid my wish being
that my said sons shall not be put to ? in
repaying the said sums and my ? ? is that as
to the sum of three hundred pounds so due to
me from my said son Richard as aforesaid ?
my said son shall pay interest for the same
after the rate of four pounds per cent per
annum from the time of my decease until he
shall repay the said sum which interest
shall be divided by my Executors in the same
manner I have ? my principal monies by my
said Will in witness whereof I the said
Richard Stocker have to this Codicil to my
said Will contained in one sheet of paper
set my hand and seal this fifth day of May
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and thirty four RICHARD STOCKER (RS)
signed sealed published and declared by the said
Testator Richard Stocker as and for a
Codicil to his Will in the presence of us
who in his presence at his request and in
the presence of each other have hereto
subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

1834 before the Worshipful John ? Dorlon of
? and Sunogate by the Oath of James Stocker
the son out of the Executors to whom
administration was granted having been first
sworn to administer power received of making
the life grant to William Henry Browell
Stocker the son also the other Executor.
