This is the last Will and
Testament of me Elizabeth Stilwell of Shotter Mill in the
parish of Linchmere in the County of Sussex widow whereby I
dispose of all my real and personal estate as follows I give to
my son William the sum of sixty pounds and also to my
daughter Mary the like sum of sixty pounds also to my
said son and daughter William and Mary all my household
furniture plate linen and china to be divided equally between
them share and share alike All the rest residue and remainder of
my real and personal estate of whatever nature or kind soever I
give and bequeath the same to my Exors and Trustees hereinafter
named to hold to them their heirs executors admons and assigns
upon trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to
call in and convert such part of my personal estate and effects
into ready money as shall then not consist of money and to sell
the houses and premises in which I now reside unless my son
John should decide to take the same house and premises at a
fair valuation and to divide the product of my said real and
personal estate after satisfying my just debts funeral and
testamentary expenses into five equal portions and pay out
portion thereof to each of my five children or the executors and
admons for their own absolute use and benefit and I direct that
the receipt of my executors or either of them shall be good and
sufficient discharge for all monies payable to them or him under
or by virtue of this my will and I appoint my said son
William and my son in law Thomas Knight executors of
this my will In witness whereof I the said Testatrix have
hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of July one
thousand eight hundred and thirty six -

Feby 1840 before the Judge by the Oath of William Stilwell
the Sole out of the Exors to whom admon was granted having
been first sworn by Commission duly to administer power reserved
of making the like grant to Thomas Knight the other exor when he
shall apply for the same
