The Will of
Martha Stickland

This is the last Will and Testament of me
Martha Stickland of Dorchester in the County of Dorset Widow
made and Published this tenth Day of January in the Year of our
Lord Christ One thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Whereas my
late Husband Nathaniel Stickland Gentleman deceased did buy his
last Will and Testament in Writing duly executed and proved Give
and bequeath unto me a Moiety or Share of his Estate and Effects
with power to dispose of the same among my Younger Children in
such manner as I should think fit Which Moiety or Share of the
Estate and Effects of my said Husband after Payment of his just
Debts and ffuneral Expences Amounts to the Sum of Nine Hundred
Pounds Now in my Will is and I do hereby give and bequeath the
said Sum of Nine Hundred Pounds unto my two Surviving Younger
Children Nathaniel Stickland and Martha Stickland and direct the
same to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike
Also I Give unto my Eldest Son Robert Stickland the Sum of
Twenty Pounds and to my said Son Nathaniel I Give my Silver
Tankard and all the rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal
Estate and Effects Plate Household Goods and ffurniture I Give
and bequeath unto my said Two Younger Children Nathaniel
Stickland and Martha Stickland equally between them Share and
Share alike And I constitute and appoint them the said Nathaniel
Stickland and Martha Stickland joint Executors of this my Will
Witness my Hand and Seal the Day and Year above written _Martha
Stickland
