In the name of God Amen I Grace Stickland
of Weymouth and Melcombe Regis in the County of Dorset Widow
being weak of Body but of sound and Disposing mind and Memory
and Considering the uncertainty of this Transitory Life Do for
avoiding Controversies after my Decease make Publish and Declare
this my last Will and Testament in manner following (That is to
say) First I Recommend my Soult to God that gave it and my Body
I commit to the Earth to be decently buried according to the
Discretion of my Executrix hereafter Named and as for and
Concerning all my Worldly Estate I give and bequeath and Dispose
thereof as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath all that
Messuage Burgage and Tenement wherein I now Dwell with the
out-houses backside Garden and Appurtenances to the same
belonging to my beloved Kinsman John Bridle and to his Heirs for
ever also all my Household Furniture moveable and Immoveable
Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Kinsman Thomas Bridle
Thirty Guineas Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Kinsman
John Parsons Twenty Pounds to be Paid him by my Executrix Ten
Years after my Decease Proviso he may be then living but if and
in Case he shall be Deceased before the Expiration of the said
term of Ten Years then my Will is that the said Sum of Twenty
Pounds without any Interest for the same shall be equally
Divided between my said Kinsmen John Bridle and Thomas Bridle
Share and Share alike or to the Survivor of them or their Heirs
Item I give and bequeath One Pound Sixteen Shillings to Mary
Flew Wife of John Flew and Daughter to my Executrix Item I give
and bequeath unto Grace Fowler her other Daughter a Silver Dish
and my best Gown Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Cox now Wife
of Arthur Cox my Green Gown my blue Quilted best Coat and one
Smock I give and bequeath unto Anne Looney my Cotton Gown and
one Smock and one Coat Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Fowler
Widow One Pound Sixteen Shillings Lastly I do hereby Nominate
and Appoint the said Mary Fowler the Sole Executrix and
Residuary Legatee of this my last Will and Testament Revoking
all former Wills and other Testaments by me at any time
heretofore made and I do ordain and Ratify these Presents to
stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof to this my said last Will I have set my hand and
Seal this Twenty Fourth Day of October and in the Year of our
Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Two The Mark X of
