Whereas I
Thomas Spark of Oxton in the County of Chester Yeoman knowing the
uncertainty of human Age do make and Ordain this my last Will and
Testement, in manner and form following that is to say First and
Principally I Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that
gave it hopeing to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all
my Sins and to Inheirit Everlasting Life And my Body I commit to the
Earth to be Orderly and decently Buried And as to the Disposal of my
Esteat and and all such goods money Cattel and Personalty as it hath
pleased Almighty God to Endow me with I give and bequeath the same
as follows
That is to say
my mind and Will is that all my just and Lawfull Debts and Funeral
Expences are first paid and discharged by my Executors
Then I give
and bequeath to my Daughter Mary MIDELTON the sum of Twenty pounds
of good and Lawfull money of great Brittain to be paid her in twelve
months after my Decease Then I give to my Daughter Ann MIRES the sum
of Thirty pounds of good and Lawfull money of great Brittain to be
paid her in two years after my Decease Then I give and bequeath to
my Daughter Martha SPARK the sum of Fifty pounds of good and Lawfull
money of great Brittain to be paid her in three years after my
Decease
Then I give
and bequeath to my Daughter Ellen SPARK the sum of fifty pounds of
good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid her in four
years after my Decease Then I give and bequeath Daughter Frances
SPARK the sum of fifty pounds of good and Lawfull money of great
Brittain to be paid her in five years after my Decease
Also I give to
my Daughter Martha SPARK the Bed next to the Loft Door with rod
hangings about it and all furniture belonging to it over and above
the fifty pounds before mentioned with the Bedsteads Sheets and
coverings belonging thereto Also I give and bequeath to my Daughter
Ellen SPARK the Bed with green hangings and Bedsteds Sheets
coverings with all the furniture thereto belonging over and above
the fifty pounds before mentioned
Also I give
and bequeath to my Daughter Frances SPARK the Bed that stands next
to the window and the Bedsteads Sheets Coverings and all furniture
belonging to it over and above the fifty pounds before mentioned
Also I give
and bequeath to my Granson Robert LESTER my Gray Mare called juel
and my Saddle and a pare of Bedsteads that are in the lads Room and
the Chist in the Palor after my Loving wife Ellen SPARKS decease the
Trial and the Chiese weights are his own Property Also I give and
bequeath to my Loving wife Ellen SPARK and my three Daughters Martha
SPARK Ellen SPARK and Frances SPARK all my Putor to be equailly
divided amongst them that is to say Share and Share a Like
Also I give
and bequeath all my Linen to my Loving Wife Ellen SPARK and my three
Daughters Martha SPARK Ellen SPARK and Frances SPARK as follows that
is to say my Loving Wife Ellen SPARK to have one half of the said
Linen an my three Daughters Martha SPARK Ellen SPARK and Frances
SPARK to have the other half of the afore said Linan to be equailly
divided amongst them that is to say share and Share alike Then my
mind and will is that my Loving Wife Ellen SPARK shall and must have
Nine pounds of good and Lawfull money Every year during her natural
Life to be paid her at two even and Equal payments the first payment
to be made and paid in six months after my Deceace to be paid her of
my Esteat Likewise my mind and will is that my Loving wife shall and
must have the Parlor and all the furniture that is in the Parlor and
some necessarys besides that will be of use to her and to despose of
the goods as she thinks Proper but my Loving wife shall and must
have the Parlor dureing her natural life over and above the Nine
pounds a year before mentioned as long as she keeps her self in my
name But my mind and will is that if my Loving Wife Ellen SPARK
should Marry after my decease then my Will is that she shall have
one Shilling and not to have nine pounds a year nor the Parlor only
the goods that are in the Parlor and what my Executors pleases to
give her besides the goods
Then I give
and bequeath to my son in Law Humphery THOMAS of Councel in the
County of Flint my House and all my out buildings and all my
parceles of land and Closes of Land belonging thereto my said
Tenement lying and being in the Township of Oxton in the County of
Chester with all its pertinances and all rights and tietles thereto
belonging Also all my stock of Cattle Cows and Horses Implements of
Husbandry and all my household and Personalty of what kind or sort
so ever Excepting what was herein before mentioned for his own sole
use and benefit against all or every person or persons that shall
claem aney Right or title thereto He the aforesaid Humphrey THOMAS
Paying all my Debts Funeral Expences and all the Legaces that is
herein Mentioned And I do Revoke disanul disalow and make void all
former Wills by me before made and do confirm this and no other to
be my only true Last will and Testament And I do nominate and
Appoint my Son in Law Humphery THOMAS of Councel in the County of
Flint and my Daughter Frances SPARK my Executors of this my Last
will and Testament In Witness hereof I the aforesaid Thomas SPARK
have hereunto set and put my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of
November in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our Soverigne Lord
George the third King of great Brittain &c and in the year of our
Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy five
