Memorandum of John Slynot

 

Memorandum That on or about the sixth day of September One Thousand Six Hundred Seaventy Eight John Slynot of Paddington in the County of Middlesex
being sick and weak in body but of perfect mynd memory and understanding did utter speak nuncupate and declare the like words in effect following with a Mind and purpose to make his Will Viz I give unto my daughter Martha now wife of Robert Sevill fifty pounds and to my kinsman John Slynot now living with me five pounds for putt him forth an Apprentice And then desired his Wife who was then present to give him Ten pounds more to sett him up when he was out of his time if hee should bee a good boy and please her And all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever I give unto my wife meaning and speaking of Amy Slynot his wife and Richard Slynot my sonne All which words or to the effect the said deceased did declare for and as his last Will and Testament Nuncupative in the presence and hearing of divers credible witnesses whose names are hereunder written.
