The Will of Joyce Slennet
In the name of God Amen I Joyce
Slennet Relict of Thomas Slennet Gardiner of the Parish
of Stoke Newington St Mary's being sick in body but of
perfect mind and memory thanks be to God Therefore
calling to mind the Mortality of my body and knowing
that it is appointed to all men to dye do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say
first and principally I give and recommend my soul into
the hands of God that gave it and my Body to the Earth
to be buried in a decent Christian manner at the
discretion of my Executor not doubting but at the
general Resurrection I shall receive the same by the
mighty power of God I give and dispose of all my Goods
Chattells Lands Messuages and Tenements in the following
manner and form viz I give to my beloved brother John
Bromwell sugar baker of the Parish of St Mary
Whitechapel whom I constitute ordain and make my sole
executor of this my last Will and Testament all and
singular my Lands Tenements and Messuages Goods and
Chattells by him freely to be possessed and enjoy and I
do ratify and confirm this to be my last Will and
Testament
