In the
Name of God Amen I MARY SIMONS of the parish of Ealing in the
County of Middlesex Widow being weak in Body but of sound and
perfect Mind and Memory Glory be the Almighty God for the same
do make and publish my last Will and Testament in manner and
form following that is to sy ffirst I give to my Daughter
ELIZABETH CHAPMAN otherwise LONG one shilling in full mony I
also give and bequeath to my beloved Grandaughter FFRANCES LONG
Spinster after my ffuneral Expenses and all just debts are
discharged all that my Messuage or Tenement situate and being in
Drum Lane in the County aforesaid as also all real and personal
estate Goods Chattels whatsoever and wheresoever money apparel
etc. And I hereby appoint her my whole and sole Executrix I will
also that my Grandaughter FFRANCES LONG be not in full power for
herself till she come to the full age of twenty five years to
dispose of my house aforesaid unless by the assent and consent
of MR. CHARLES WRIGHT and RALPH PIGG both of the parish of
Ealing Road Surveyors whom I hereby beg to appoint joint
Guardians to her And I do invest them with power to the
Execution of this my Will also that in case the said FFRANCES
LONG die before she come to age or shall have issue then the
said house to go to her only sister HESTER LONG and her Heirs
forever That it shall be at the will and pleasure of MR. CHARLES
WRIGHT and RALPH PIGG in all cases to act and do for the said
FFRANCES LONG at all times till she be at the age of twenty five
years seeing that the Income only is at her disposal That RALPH
PIGG AND CHARLES WRIGHT may give money to her after twenty one
years of age all charge and put her in full power and on their
proviso only I do appoint as I beforesaid my whole and sole
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all
former wills by me made In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this twenty day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty and in the twentieth
year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Third of
Great Britain etc.

hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of

This will
was proved at London the seventeenth day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty one before the
Worshipful Andrew ------ Ducarel Doctor of Laws Surrogate to the
Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully
constittuted by the oaths of Charles Wright and Ralph Pigg the
Executors named in the said will untill ffrances Long Spinster
the deceased's Grandaughter attains her age of twenty five years
to whom administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels
and Credits of the said deceased was granted they having been
first sworn duly to administer. |
