The Will of John Sidey

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Sidey of the Parish of Saint Dunstan Stepney in the County of Middlesex Mariner being in Bodily Health and of Perfect Mind and Memory but considering the Uncertainty of Human Life do make Publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following first and Principally I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God and my Body I commit to the Earth or Seas as it shall Please God to dispose of the same and as to my Worldly Estate I give and dispose of the same in manner following that is ton say Imprimis I do hereby order and direct that all my Just Debts be in the first Place well and truly Paid and Satisfied Item I give devise and bequeath unto my loving Sister Mary Abbott of Red Cross Street Widow the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain Item I give and bequeath to Susannah Gregory Daughter of ffarnell Gregory of Poplar, Sawyer the Sum of Ten Pounds of like lawfull Money of Great Britain and all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate both real and Personal of what nature kind or Quality soever the same shall be after my Debts and ffuneral Expences shall be Paid and Satisfied I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my loving Wife Elizabeth Sidey and I do hereby make ordain Constitute and appoint my Worthy friend Emanuel Rodwell of the Parish of Saint Dunstans Stepney in the County of Middlesex Gentleman Sole Executor of this my said Will and I do hereby Countermand and make void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do Publish and declare these presents to be and contain my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this sixteenth day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty six and in the Twentieth Year of our Lord George the Second King of Great Britain and so forth John Sidey
