The Will of Margaret Shuckforth

 

The last Will and Testament of Margaret Shuckforth (Widow) of No 6 Dean Street Westminster I Margaret Shuckforth being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say ffirst I desire that all debts funeral expences and charges of proving this my last will be fully paid I give and bequeath to my niece Margaret Hansome (widow) thirteen pounds pr annum Long Annuities I give and bequeath to Henry Cross of No 26 Sidmouth Street Grays Inn Road the sum of nineteen pounds as an acknowledgement for the Trouble he will have in the execution of my last Will I give and bequeath to my great niece Sarah Holmes three pounds Pr Annum Long Annuities and six silver Tea spoons I give and bequeath to my great nieces Margaret Hanson and Ann Hanson Two pounds Pr Annum Long annuities each I give and bequeath to my great nephews John Hanson William Hanson James Hanson and Robert Hanson Two Pounds Pr CAnnum Long Annuities each I give and bequeath to my great niece Jemima Dabney wife of Mark Dabney three pounds Pr Annum Long Annuities I give and bequeath to my great nephew John Knowles two pounds Pr Annum Long Annuities I give and bequeath to my great nieces Esther Knowles and Margaret Knowles Two pounds Pr Annum Long Annuities each and my furniture linen and wearing apparel to be divided between them share and share alike I give and bequeath to the aforesaid Margaret Knowles my silver Sugar Tongs and six silver Tea spoons I give and bequeath to Ann Leach wife of Edward Leach (great niece of my late husband) Three pounds Pr annum Long annuities and two silver Table spoons I give and bequeath to Lydia Virgo (great niece of my late husband) Three pounds Pr annum Long annuities and a Bible I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Cross Wife of Henry Cross three pounds pr Annum Long annuities And my will is that the aforesaid Legacies shall be for their sole use and free from their husbands control  I nominate constitute and appoint the aforesaid Henry Cross Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this second day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty two _ Margaret Shuckforth
