In the name of god amen I John Shipman of Steeple Morden in the countie of Cambridge Sheperde Doe make this my last will & testament in maner & forme followinge firste I doe bequeath my soule to Almightye god trustinge by the meretts of Christe Jesus that my sins are pdoned & ny bodie to be buried in the Church yarde in steeplemorden.Imprimis I give to my son John Shipman All my wareinge Apparrell & xs in money It I give to my eldeste Daughter An xs in money It I give to my Daughter Susan xxs in money one bedd one payer of sheetes one little cubbert & the table two coverlets 2 boulsters ….2 blanket on them one kettle It I give to my daughters Elizabeth & Jone Cowes xls in money within one yeare after my death I give to my daughter Jane xls in money & in sheepe either ….or weather the mony to be payed wthin one yeare after my death …I make my wife prudence my executrix to this my last will & testement & doe …..All my goods money & house hold stuffe unbequeathed & garden to which I have set my hande the xxth day of November in the xxth yeare of his majestie ….
