The Will of Elizabeth Sephton

 

In the name of god Amen I Elizabeth Sephton of Scarisbrick in the County of Lancaster widow being through the abundant marcy and goodness of god tho weakly in body yet of sound and perfect memory and understanding to constitute this my last will & testament and desire it may be Received al al as such.
Imprimis. I most humbly bequeath my soul to god my maker: As to my worldly Estate I will and positively order thus as followeth:
Imprimis I give to Margret ye daughter of Henery Spencer of Scarisbrick to ye four children of Thomas Liniker in order John Mary Elin & Elizabeth to ye 4 children of John Liniker deceased Richard Ann Margaret Alice Al in order al my goods after my decease to be sold and divided among them al equally share & share alike. Except one little chest at ye beds feet which I give to John Liniker my brothers Thomas son. to William Sephton my husband brother 2 shilling 6 pence.
Item I give to Ellin & Elizabeth my brother Thomas Liniker's daughters al my wearing Apparell. al to be equally divided and paid by my Executors hereafter named. As for my burial I desire it may be decent at ye discretion of Richard Tarlton of Bickerstaffe and James Liniker of Scarisbrick whom I do constitute Executors of this my last will & testament. As for that money which Richard Liniker had of Richard Sephton & his wife upon use the remaining part which is yet behind I will & positively order that no person or persons that by any Law suits, titles, claims or demands. Trouble or moless? the above named Richard Tarlton and James Liniker or their Heirs, Executors, Adminstrators or assigns: In witness I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this 6 day of July: Anno Domini 1731
