This is the last Will and Testament of me
Thomas Scoging of Badingham I the County of Suffolk Yeoman
first I give and devise unto my son Thomas Scoging All that
piece of Ground situate in Badingham aforesaid with Cottage
there upon lately built To hold unto him my said son Thomas
Scoging his Heirs and Assigns for ever. Also I give and devise
unto James Aldous of Badingham aforesaid Labourer All that piece
of Ground situate in Badingham aforesaid with a Cottge thereupon
lately built by him the said James Aldous To hold to him the
said James Aldous his Heirs and assigns forever And my Mind and
Will is and I do hereby order direct and impower my Executors
herein after named as soon as conveniently may go after my
decease to grat sell and dispose of All and singular my Freehold
and Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments
whatsoever with their appurtenances situate in Badingham
aforesaid or in some other Town parish or place thereunto next
or near adjoining and now in the Occupation of Robert Allen or
his assigns And also al my goods Chattels and personal Effects
for the best price of prices that can be got or had fo the same
and that the Monies arising thereby together with what ready
Money I may happen to have at my decease and what shall be
raised by Debts then due and owing to me and the Rents and
profits of my said last mentioned Real Estate until the sale of
the same I dispose of the same in manner following (that is to
say) First I give and bequeath unto my son
Robert Scoging and to my Daughter Elizabeth Rye (wife of Richard
Rye now or late of Swilland in the said County Yeoman the sum of
five shillings each All the rest and residue of the Monies so
to be raised as aforesaid and not herein before given and
disposed of after payment of all my Just Debts Legacies Funeral
Expenses and the Charges of the Probate of this my Will and
incident to the Executorship hereof I do give and bequeath the
same unto my Sons William Scoging and the said Thomas Scoging
share and share alike And I do hereby declare that the Receipt
and Receipts of my said Executors shall be a sufficient
Discharge and Discharges to the purchaser of the said last
mentioned Messuages Lands Tenements and premises And that such
purchaser of purchasers shall not be answerable or accountable
for the misapplication or non application of such purchases
Money And Lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint my said
Sons William Scoging and Thomas Scoging Executors of this my
last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke and make void
all former and other Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made
published and declared In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and Seal this fourth day of May in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Five.

This Will was proved at Badingham on the
Tenth Day of November I the Year of our Lord 1788 before the Rev
John Eade Clerk Surrogate duly appointed of the worshipful
George Sandby D.D. Official Principal of the Episcopal
Consistorial Court of Norwich lawfully constituted and was
approved V and Administration of all V singular the Goods V of
the within named Thomas Scoging the Testator deceased was then
duly granted to William V Thomas Scoging his Sons the Executors
within named They being duly Sworn + having the right
