In the name of God Amen the 9th day of

my last will and testament in manner and forme following: first I
give and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God my maker
hoping assuredly through Jesus Christ my Redeemer to be made….. of
life everlasting and my body to the earth wherof it was made and….
My…… I give and bequeath unto my brother james children in manner
followeing….to William Sayr four pounds; I give to John Sayer four
pounds I give margarett sayer four pounds I give Elizabeth Sayr four
pounds I give Joane Sayr four pounds… I give unto John Nicholson his
children in form following I give unto James Nicholson….. I given
unto Thomas Nicholson….. I give unto John Nicholson…. I give unto
William Nicholson four pounds I give unto Isabel Chapman... I give
unto Margarett Milnor …..; All the aforementioned legacies to be
paid at Martinmas after my decease; also I give and bequeath unto
the poor of Thornton Rust five pounds and ten shillings, to be paid
in the manner following…. To be paid upon St Thomas day….. before
Christmas next after my decease and ….. every year the same….. until
the sum be paid….. my will and….. to be honestly brought forth to
my….. And also I make and ordaine James Sayre my brother whole and
sole executor of this my last will and testament to whom I give and
bequeath the residue of my goods movable and unmovable my legacies
and funeral expenses….. first….. discharged in witness wherof I have
hereto set my hand and seal the day and year first in the presence
