This is the last will and testament of me
William Sayer of the township of Darlington in the County of Durham
Yeoman in manner and form following that is to say I give and
bequeath unto Richard Nightingale of Trafford (?) hill in the said
county farmer and John Robinson of Cockerton in the said county
Gentleman all and singular my personal estate and effects
whatsoever and wheresoever to hold to them the said Richard
Nightingale and John Robinson their executors and administrators in
trust to pay interest and proceeds to arise there from unto my dear
wife Jane Sayer for and during the term of her natural life and
after her decease then to pay unto my nephew John Miller of Sedberge
in the said county of Durham farmer the sum of two hundred pounds
and unto my niece Ann Sanderson the sum of two hundred pounds and
unto the children of the said Richard Nightingale the sum of two
hundred pounds to be divided among such said children share and
share alike and unto William Myers and Thomas Dack Myers the two
sons of William Myers the sum of fifty pounds apiece which said
legacies I order and direct to be paid by my said trustees to the
said several and respective legatees and their respective Executors
Administrators and Assigns six months after the death of my said
wife and the rest and residue of my personal estate and effects to
pay to the executors or administrators of my said wife at the same
time. I give and devise unto my nephew Joseph Miller of Brunton
(Brompton?) in the parish of Northallerton in the County of York all
that my freehold messuage tenement or dwelling house situate at
Sedberge aforesaid subject to such estate and interest therein as my
said wife now has and subject to such further charge as is made
thereon by a settlement on my marriage with my said wife and also
subject to the payment of the further sum of fifty pounds to the
executors or administrators of my said wife within six months after
her death to hold to him the said Joseph Miller his heirs and
assigns subject as aforesaid. And I do hereby appoint the said
Richard Nightingale and John Robinson joint executors of this my
last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this first day
of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and
nine.

testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence
and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as
witnesses thereto:

On the fifteenth day of April 1811 Robert
Marshall Hutchinson, one of the subscribing witnesses to this will
was sworn to the due executor thereof by the testator and Richard
Nightingale and John Robinson the sole executors therein named were
sworn to execute and perform the same as *** (under £1000)
