Obligation
Know all men by these present that we Jane
Sayer of West Rounton in the County of York widow and William
Robinson of the same place, clerk, and John Kitching of the same
place, yeoman, do stand and are firmly bounden and obliged unto the
worshipful Francis Topham Doctor at Laws, Commisary and keeper
general of the Exchequer and Prerogative Court of the most Reverand
father in God John by Divine providence, Lord Archbishop of York,
Primate of England and metropolitan lawfully constituted in the Sum
of one thousand pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to
be paid to the said commissary or his true and lawful attorney,

date the fourth day of the month of November
in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty.
The condition of this obligation is such, that
the above bounden Jane Sayer widow relict next of kin and
administrator of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of
Cuthbert Sayer yeoman late of West Rounton within the peculiar
juresdiction of Durham in the province and diocese of York,
deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory
of all and singular the goods chattles and credits of the said
deceased which have or shall come to the hands possession or
knowledge of her the said Jane Sayer or into the hands and
possession of any other person or persons for her and the same to
made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the registry of the
prerogative court of York at or before the fourth day of March next
ensuing ****************** (etc etc). And further do make or cause
to be made a true and just account of her said administration at or
before the fourth day of November next ensuing ************* (etc
etc).
