Memorandum that on or about the twelth day of
September in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and
eighty and seven Peter Sawer of Bridgehousewats (?) in the parish of
Whitby and diocese of York being of *** and ** mind an memory and
with a full intention to make his last will and testament his non
**patiently or by word of mouth declare them as follows or in words
to the like effect and C;
Item he did give to his brother Robert Bowlby
and Hannah his wife each (?) of them five shillings sixpence.
Item he did five give to his brother Lawrence
Knags and Katherine His wife each (?) of them two shillings
sixpence.
Item he did give to his brother Bentley (?)
and Mary his wife each (?) of them two shillings and sixpence.
Item he did give to his brother Thomas Sawer
two shillings six pence.
And he did give and bequeath (?) all the rest
and residue of his money goods and estate and whatsoever else to him
did belong to his brother Roger Sawer Hull and to be executor of
this his last will and testament in the presence and hearing of two
favourable witnesses vis John Wilkinson and Francis Nollone (?)
****** further declare ****** ** of will in
the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred Eighty and eight
that his mind should ********* ** will in the presence and hearing
of the above named Two witnesses and two more vis Robert Stonehouse
and Mary Manse (?); and he did likewise on the thirteenth day of the
same day which was the day before he departed this life declared
In the presence and hearing of one of the
above named witnesses that his mind was not altered and confirming
his last will and Testament witness our hands the fifth day of May
1688.
