The Will of John Sawer

 

In the name of God Amen the sixteen day of June 1704 I John Sawer of Skelton in the County of York, seaman, being weak in body but of perfect memory praised be to God for if I do make this may last will and testament in manner and form following. Revoking all will and wills herefore by me made either by word or writing Item I give to my sister Susanna Sawer twenty shillings, I give to my sister Anne Bulmer twenty shillings, I give to my sister Merrell Sawer *** twenty shillings *** I do give to my father Henry Sawer all the rest of my goods and chattels and do make him my sole executor.  Given under my hand and seal the day and year aforewritten.
