The Will of Plumer Sandford

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Plumer Sandford of the Town of Folkestone in the County of Kent, Draper first and principally I committed my soul into the hand of Almighty God hoping for remission of all my sins and as to such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bestow upon me I dispose thereof as follows first I direct that all such just debts as I shall owe at the time of my decease together with my Funeral expenses and the charges of proving of this my Will be in the first place paid and satisfied and I give and devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Elizabeth all my Real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature find or qualify soever the same may be that I may stand possessed of or entitled unto whether in possession reversion or expectancy or otherwise howsoever To hold the same and every part and parcel thereof unto and to the use of my said wife her issue and assigns absolutely forever and I so hereby make constitute and appoint my said wife and Stephen Penfold the elder of the Town of Folkestone aforesaid Gentleman joint executors of this my Will hereby revoking and making said all other Wills and Testamentary papers by me at any time hereto for made and do declare this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Plumer Sandford to this my last Will and Testament have set my hand seal this twenty fourth day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight Plumer Sandford signed sealed published and declared by the said Plumer Sandford as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as witnesses -

This Will was proved at London on the seventh day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine before the Right Honourable Sir John Mitchell, Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Purogative Court of Canterbury Lawfully constituted by the Oath of Elizabeth Sandford widow of the deceased and Stephen Penfold the executors named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and credit of the deceased they having been first sworn (by commission) duty to administer =//=
